666 is the number of the antichrist, the end times’ figure who will arise with the purpose of opposing God and God's people. 666 is the gamatria of the name of the antichrist.
In Greek and Hebrew, there are no numeric characters. There are only alpha characters. For example, the letters a, b, c, d, e, f, etc. are alpha characters. The numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, etc., are numeric characters. They are different -- except for the letter "o" and the number "0". When the Greeks wanted to write a number, they used letters for numbers. The Greek letter "alpha" had the numeric equivalent of 1. The next letter "beta" has the numeric equivalent of 2, and so on.
Therefore, whenever a word in Greek is written, because the letters are also numbers, every word has a numeric value. This numeric value is called a gamatria. The Greek word for Jesus (iasous, IhsouV) has a mathematical equivalent of 888. Also, the Greek word for fish (ichthus, icqus) is 1224.
What the Bible is saying is that the future antichrist will have a name that when it is written in Greek, its numeric equivalent will be 666.
hey.. last time (last year i think) there's this news saying US is going to invent new credit card & i/c in cip and put it in forehead/wrist below the skin wo.. then they said the personal detail and money and everything is based on the cip and no one can survive without the cip. and the number is 666.. is it true?

If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.
Yes, it is true that there are rumors such technology is being created or has been created. Governments have the desire to unite the world under one financial & administrative system via personal cip where all details like IC & ATM are stored. With this cip people will go around doing transactions. Like the Bible said, no one can buy or sell without the mark. In this way, the anti-Christ can rule the world. This is just mere speculation based on observation of current times about the mark.
BUT no one knows for sure that this mark is the cip, it is just a speculation. AND the mark isnt the actual number 666 but what it represents, I already explained it in my post what it actually means.
So about the cip being the mark of the beast and the cip's number is 666, it is just mere speculation for the time being, it could be true, it could be false. It is good for us to be aware of it. But be sure that every revelation of God will come true. We just dont know when and in what form as it wasnt written in the Bible for us to know.
In fact, there are other specific signs about the end times. It is easier to observe AND in fact, is going on for years. It is in the news everyday, just that we dont notice its significant. Tell u more about this next time we meet.
Nevertheless, we shall prepare ourselves for Christ's return or the end times' rapture by obediently building the Kingdom of God, doing His will in our lives, bringing people to Christ and building our fellowship with Him rather than being afraid or overly concern about end times when there are many more things God wants us to be concern with also and can actually do something about it.
